What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. In a typical situation, A CSA consists of a group of members who come together to support a farm by purchasing "shares" in advance, usually in the winter and early spring, before the growing season gets underway. Members also share the risks associated with farming and poor harvests due to unpredictable weather conditions, pests, natural disasters, etc. In return for their commitment, members receive a bountiful share of what we harvest throughout the growing season and gain knowledge and satisfaction of being able to participate in local agricultural production.
Our model is a little different. You are purchasing a share of flowers weekly or by the subscription dates listed.
What does being a CSA member entail?
As a part of our CSA, members pay upfront for flower shares, commit to picking up their flowers on an assigned day at a partner location, and share the risks and rewards that we, farmers, face each season.
Where/when do I pickup my share?
Our pick-up locations are listed when you sign up. Your flowers will only be available at the pick up location you selected when you ordered your subscription.
Can I preview what will be in each week's share?
Yes! We post tons of pictures on Instagram and Facebook.
I signed up for the CSA. When will my CSA begin?
The dates are listed in your original purchase or email us and we can remind you.
I'm going on vacation. Can I move my pickups to a later week?
We love to travel too! If you happen to be out of town please tell a friend to pick it up for you.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate missed pick-ups or hold the orders. They will be at your pick up location on your pick up day.
Can I order extra flowers to pick up with my share?
Yes! If you have a party coming up or would like to have additional flowers, you are welcome to send us an email and we'd be happy to add an additional flower order to your CSA share.
Will my share be held over the next day if I cannot make my day's pickup?
We understand that emergencies occur and we all forget. If you miss your pick up please go by as soon as you remember. Hopefully, they are still there looking fresh but we can't promise it. Please keep in mind that our partners have volunteered their spaces to host our pick-ups, do not call them and ask if your flowers are there.
If my pick-up falls on a holiday, should I still go to pick up?
In most cases, there will be no pick-ups on major holidays. In any event, we will communicate with shareholders if there are any changes to the CSA schedule.
Will you be opening more pick-up locations?
We're always looking for more CSA partners. If you know of a potential site (office, business, home, etc.) that would like to host a CSA pick-up, please email us. Please know we need 10 or more people to open a new pick-up location.
