urban farm school

January 22- February 26

8-4pm

Join us for our first-ever season of Farm School!  Sasha Kanno and the Farm Lot 59 team have put all ( or most ) of our farming knowledge into a 6-week crash course of regenerative agriculture.

Your training manual is broken into 6 weeks of intense farming. You will learn how we do it at 2714 California Ave on a .5 acre plot. You will get dirty and learn how to visualize your project, operate, grow, prep beds, work in a greenhouse, build your soil, harvest, all of it.

We are sharing all our tool knowledge and resources with you so you can be successful in any garden/farm situation. Our farm is only a 1/2 acre but we grow in a diverse and holistic way using crop rotations, cover cropping, drip irrigation, and specialty tools designed for small spaces.

We will teach you how to map out your plot and figure out what, when and how to grow annual vegetables, perennial flowers, tend a small orchard. We start everything in our greenhouse and also have a USDA funded high tunnel.

We've been farming our plot for 11 years and are so excited to share the knowledge. This is our first season teaching Farm School ! It's going to be fun and exciting to be on the farm and part of the forum and season 1!

Our model is scaleable to multi-acre diverse farming operations, or in a few raised beds or maybe you will find out farming is not for you. I'm excited to find out.

Registration ends beginning of January. Unfortunately, our system does not accept partial payments or installments but if you need financial assistance please let us know.
